My fake Mickey Mouse

This is the story of a Mouse named Mickey. He wears yellow shoes, a red short with two big white buttons. Two white gloves hide callus on his tired hands. He’s always willing to lend you a helping hand. Look, he says hi to you!!! :)

Ol buddy, ol' pal, ol' friend of mine, what are your dreams?

As a child he dreamed to become famous!! Though he was born with a birth defect; he isn’t the famous Mickey Mouse imagined by Walt Disney. He is mine. Ever since I imagined him, he was condemned to live clandestinely.
The only crime he has committed is to exist. He isn’t guilty, don’t you see? I’m the one to be blamed.

Twenty years are gone…

Last night, it was windy outside. A frozen breeze opened your window. He entered the castle in the air you dreamed. An old, sick King sat on the throne. The crown over his head was the sun of dreamy land.  Thousands bow him.
A blue sky, warm day welcomed tourists from all around fairyland. You saw a young woman dropping her glass of water. It spilled all over the floor forming a lake. You laughed. A few took their clothes off, they sprang to the lake. Water splashed. Mickey got wet. You stayed. You danced with her. Who’s her? I can’t see her face.
“Gold for everyone”, yelled the King. It rained small pieces of colorful papers, green, yellow, pink, blue, orange.... “Worth for 100gr of gold” Mickey read.  He took dozen of papers “What do I do with them?” he asked a big head man.  “Go and buy new stuff!!” the man replied.
Everyone was dancing when the music stopped. The light turned into darkness. They ran out the lake, a big wave took them back. You dream became a nightmare...You saw him. You denounced him!!!  “He is not good enough for my dreams, he is not the original” you thought. Two thousand soldiers went after him. The two clowns who amused the crowd yelled “I would build a wall, if I was the King”. A soldier was on Mickey’s tail, he hit him with his diamond sword, but it broke into pieces, it was purely ice. He ran, jumped out of you dream just in time…PIFF PAFF PUFF, houses became debt burden. Civil war has broken in dreamy land. A clown ridding a donkey promised blank checks for everyone. “Follow him!”, screams a sheep. Blue became red; white wine became red wine... “The King has been overthrown!!” yelled the crowd. “Diamonds for everyone”, screamed the New King…nothing changed.

The window is still open. He escaped. He cried:’(. He hid under the bridge beneath the darkened night. Four stars couldn’t illuminate the sky. Poor Mickey Mouse, I imagined you, I wanted a happy ending. But they don’t let me. They say is the copyright law. Don’t they understand?  This law is just a product of their imagination. Erase the law from your head!!! Let him be!!! Who are we to say which one is the real Mickey Mouse??

“He broke the copyright law!!!!” newspapers say, “He ain’t real!!” radio and TV announce. Nightingales soared, and sing stories of his pain.

The twilight of the night has gone. It’s a foggy morning. Delicate winds play Mambo. Lararaaa laraa. A man walks on the street. Mickey can’t see him neither he. Mickey’s looking for a hanky on the floor. Last night he caught a cold. Bless you, Mickey Mouse!!
He stops. What does he sees? A sheet of newspaper dancing on the street.  It goes up and down with a delicate swing. A voice comes out from the comic, which is just below the news “Thousands of public employees laid off in 2010”. Who could it be? It’s a friend I imagined for you, Mickey Mouse. Her name is Mimi. She gets out the comic and says you “hey pal!!” Mimi sells flowers, red, white blue. “For the lovers, for the special occasion” she says “one two euro or three two euros” She sees Mickey, both smile. Is it love at first sight:)?? Flushed cheeks:o.
She looks around, fearful. She’s been sentenced to the same destiny. Wildcats go after her. They will take her, if they catch her. “Mouse with big ears can’t sell”, they say.  An old artisan draws the wild beasts. Beautiful big beasts painted in his baroque workshop. A magic pen is all he needs. “You can’t blame me for acts of my beasts” he tells you “it’s free speech, don’t you see?”

A majestic red rose is opening. Mickey bends down. “You don’t cut a rose in fairyland” murmurs Mimi.
An uncomfortable silence surrounds them. A spark comes from their hearts, it lights the day. They lend an ear to the other, that’s all they got. They walk side by side. Half hour goes in a second. “What’s this noise?” Mimi asks. The fog bank is gone. A dozen of creatures occupy the park in front of them. ”Let’s go there” she says.
Blank placards hanging on trees. “What are you protesting for?” Mimi asks a man. “We don’t have something to say. Not a little bit. We came here to yell nothing and this is what we are doing.” he responds “are you deaf? Didn’t you hear, I don’t have something to tell you? Why are you still listening to me?” the man continues. “Funny thing” she thinks. She walks away. No one pays attention to the throng .Lovers walk on the park. A lonely girl sits on a bench, behind her protesters ignore her with their silence demands. Just one of them approach her and give her a look. Blue blouse and skirt, soft skin, kitty eyes. He offers her an empty lampoon. He goes. Kids play football on the grass. Mothers watch from afar. GOOOOL!!!! A seller offers ice cream. A girl buys two, one for her and another for her little brother. “One dollar fifty, please.” Isn’t that lovely? Mickey can’t take his eyes off Mimi.  He looks in his pocket. You feel sorry for him. He can’t buy her an ice cream. “Look for a job” says an ugly man. You know he’s been looking for a job for months. They don’t want mice:(

Wind stops the charm, a storm is coming. Gray clouds drop black tears, words are written on the blank placards. It’s the invisible hand. “Get out of this world, Mimi!!” appears in one placard, “you broke the law”, puffs in other.  Protesters transform into beasts. Lovers are blowing through the air, landing one or two miles away. Kids puffs away. Mothers are gone. “Where is the lonely girl with kitty eyes?” you ask yourself. A hill emerges in the middle of the park, above is a witch. A long white dress captures your attention. The beasts bow to her. It ain’t the invisible hand!! PIFF PAFF PUFF the witch gives magic pens to the artesian. A dozen of hungry Wildcats are drawn.  “Here is your award for being a nice guy…” says the witch. You are petrified. You want to help, but nothing comes out of your mouth. Their lives will be destroyed if you don’t do anything!!!!! What are you afraid of!!???  This ain’t the invisible hand!! She made the award, the prizes and those awful words.  She tells them what to say. She made the law. They just repeated what she says. Mimi broke the law because she says so.

“Where are you?”  You ask me “is also your dream…”  I was chained up. I can’t move.  My mouth has been silent. The story they deserve is out of my hands.
Move the stars, the sun and the moon. It’s your dreams which move this fairy world.  Wake up; melt the walls created by those clowns. Write words on their placards. Stop her magic, break the mirror…though,if she talks, don’t turn your back on her. She has something to say. The witch ain’t bad, you ain’t bad. She is like you and me. Refuse to be the wizard of fairyland!! Give everyone a chance!! Good can’t kill the evil, it needs devil help. “Why to kill?” asks Mimi, “Just don’t turn your back on us, that’s all” adds Mickey. You know she didn’t take all from you...she hasn’t the power; no one has “Don’t mix thing!! Not everything is part of fairyland” a faceless voice replies.
In front of your nose, both disappear in the fog bank…

The King

This is the fairy story of a despotic King from far far away.
He is the most powerful man in his kingdom. “Long live the king!!” screams the crowd…But he is crying, praying to you to continue reading. He knows that when you finish, his fairyland will be gone with him…….PUFF!!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The long version is still in process.
This is the fairytale of a despotic King from far far away. He is the most powerful man in his kingdom. “Long live the king!!” screams the crowd.
He stands on the hill, and glance under his feet. A big golden crown over his head contrasts with his tiny body. A red large cape  and a golden stick give the impression of a  really tiny King, A kid covered full of winkles. The whole Kingdom fears his crazy smile.

Innocents wait for trials, which will never happen. Dungeons are full. A thin mother carries her baby.
-My Majesty, my Lord, I beg you to free my husband. We’ve nothing. He’s a good man, he has done no harm.
The King raises her golden stick, and points her out
-Take that creature away from me
Twenty soldiers take her far from the King sight. He disdains everything on this fairyland. Injustices made him King.

Though, He sends thousands of vessels full of gold, pearls and diamonds. Camels full of treasures travel deserts.
The Kings gives all to you!!!
“Take all my land!!” he yells at you.
He goes down the hill. Subjects open a way to their King, and they bow. “Long live the king!!” screams the crowd “Long live the king!!”
The King stops. He’s crying on his knees. He prays to you!!
He knows that when you finish reading this fairytale, his fairyland will be gone with him.
You’ve his destiny in your hands. You can close this window, read a new story, and he will be gone forever. The most beautiful castle on fairyland won’t exist anymore.
-Release all the prisoners, he shouts.
Cells are open. Innocents see the sun for the first time, since they can remember. Mothers, daughters hug innocents. “For a coin you were taken away from us” says the mother with his baby. An old, mad man stays on his cell.  He was once the wisest man. He devoted his whole life reading and writing. The most beautiful poems, stories came from his hand. The King burned every poem, every story.

-What should I do to make you continue reading? Tears run down his cheeks
-I will do anything, The King continues

“I can’t stop reading” you think. Where will be the sweetest mother hugging his son? Where will be the lovers?

-Keep reading says the thin mother, I have suffer so much; and now my husband is back. Don’t blow this.

The King cleans his tears
- You can’t do any harm to me, you need me. You can’t destroy me without harming them.  Look at this child. She is must be two years old. What’s her name?
-Susie, the thin mother hesitates.
But you can’t do anything!! At some point, you have to stop reading this fairytale.

You will go to the bad room, and forget fairyland. You will google a new story, and do your homework. “In 1929…” you will read, while the wind erodes the fairyland Castle. A friend will call you, and
you will answer, but where will be the King?  Gold, diamonds, sun will be gone.
“Don’t stop reading” The King begs
PUFF!!!
